Just got back after spending two weeks in rural South Africa along the Eastern Cape. Together with Ciarán Deeney from El Zorrero Films I was making a documentary for national broadcast and shooting 500 images a day! We were invited by Mariane Finucane and John Clarke’s charity Friends in Ireland to follow their work, which is helping and assisting South African orphaned and vulnerable children who have been infected and affected by HIV/Aids. It was an incredible two weeks, meeting people who, despite having all the odds stacked against them have more zest for life than anyone I have ever met.
